A lot of you are writing in with questions about timelines and expectations.  This is of the utmost importance.  What follows is a chronological timeline of your application process to YDS.

August 1st, 2013 - The YDS Application went live! You can access it here.

Early January 2014 - The Financial Aid application goes live on our website.

January 15th  - Priority applications are due.  The fee is $50.

February 1st - Standard applications are due.  The fee is $75.  ISM Application is due.  If you apply to both YDS & the ISM, the ISM will waive their application fee.

Note: There is no qualitative difference in how we evaluate either Priority or Standard types of applications; it is simply easier for us if you have your materials in as early as possible, and we incentivize this by reducing the Priority fee.  Please make sure you check “Priority” when filling out your application form if you want to submit by January 15th and pay the reduced fee.

March 1st - The Financial Aid application is due.

March 15th, 12:00 noon (EST) - Your admissions decision will be released and accessible through your Applicant Status Page.

April 15th - Your decision to matriculate is due to YDS.

August 27th - Classes start at Yale.

I hope that helps!  As always, if you have any questions, do not hesitate to email us at divinity.admissions@yale.edu.
